Yet defining ART [Assisted Reproductive Technology] as a medical treatment is a bit forced, because “if you use the classic situation of a fertile woman with an infertile male spouse, she never had a fertility problem to begin with,” notes Charo. A more logical line of reasoning might be to view her as having a social, not a medical, dilemma. She does not want to have sex outside her marriage — that’s why she can’t get pregnant. Should society step in to help her? Should this be covered by insurance?

Laika a.m.

So it’s kinda pathetic after living in Montreal for so long AND sharing office space with the co-founder, but this morning I signed up for an Ile Sans Fil account!! Currently in Laika checking it out, and so far tres impressed. One of the coolest features is being able to see the other users in your hotspot, through profiles. Feels like a community ;)

To be fair - I only just purchased a laptop, hence the need for wireless internet access. Many props to Mike and the crew at Ile Sans Fils for their kick ass, user friendly initiative. Check ‘em out (and support!) here.

The party went off without a hitch last night, had a lot of fun and met some cool people. Plus have a few hours off now to relax and enjoy the coffee and breeze at Laika (despite the construction).

Off to read the gossip columns…I mean the news.
